Open the installer
- Open Weavenly-Setup.exe from your Downloads folder. If your browser asks whether to keep the file, choose Keep.
- Windows shows Windows protected your PC. Press More info.
- Check that the app is Weavenly-Setup.exe, then press Run anyway. The publisher reads Unknown publisher: that is the missing signature, nothing else.
- The installer asks a couple of questions (for whom and where to install; the suggested answers are fine) and adds Weavenly to the Start menu and the desktop. From then on it opens like any other app.
Why Windows warns
Windows trusts an installer more when it is signed with a code-signing certificate that names who made it. The Weavenly installer for Windows isn’t signed yet: we don’t have that certificate yet. So SmartScreen shows an unknown publisher and asks you to confirm. The macOS app is signed by Apple.
Download it only from weavenly.app
The Windows button in Download on this site is the only place to get the installer: the file comes from downloads.weavenly.app, our own file storage. If you got a Weavenly-Setup.exe anywhere else, delete it and download it here.
What Weavenly sends, and what it doesn’t
- There’s no account and no Weavenly server. Your résumé, jobs, answers and letters are files in a folder on your computer.
- Your résumé, a job’s text and a form’s questions go only to the AI you connect: your ChatGPT or Claude plan, or a local Ollama model on your own computer.
- The app checks weavenly.app for updates (the app version and your system, none of your data) and downloads the public job list from
index.weavenly.app. - It reads your email only if you connect it. The app has no analytics or telemetry.
Everything the app connects to is in the Privacy Policy.
