// how it works

Three things. Done properly.

Weavenly doesn't try to be a career coach, a course, or a community. It automates the three soul-numbing steps of every application - tailoring, tracking, filling - so the only thing left for you is the part that actually lands the job: talking to people.

01 Tailor
$ weavenly tailor --role

A résumé built for the job - in 30 seconds, not 30 minutes

Paste a job link. Weavenly reads the description, finds the keywords that actually matter to that role, and rewrites your bullets from your real experience to match - and you review every change before it goes out.

  • Truthful, ATS-optimized tailoring - same layout as your real résumé
  • A 0-100 fit score, so you stop wasting hours on jobs you'd never get
  • Re-roll on demand: push a stack, dial seniority up or down, add a focus
02 Track
$ weavenly watch --gmail

Your whole search, organized without lifting a finger

Connect Gmail once and Weavenly quietly builds your pipeline for you - recruiter replies, interview invites, companies, dates. No more "wait, did I apply here already?" spreadsheet at 1 a.m.

  • Spam-filtered import - only real recruiter mail, not newsletters
  • Kanban, calendar and reminders so nothing slips through
  • It's just JSON in a folder you own - open it in Finder anytime
03 Apply
$ weavenly apply --companion

The Companion fills the form. You just hit submit.

A browser extension that uses your own logged-in session to drop your tailored résumé and answers straight into the application - on the sites where you actually apply. No cloud bots, no banned accounts. You stay in the driver's seat.

  • Works on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday
  • Spots the "thank you" page and files the application to your pipeline
  • Learns your answers - type "years of experience" once, never again
Privacy by architecture

Your résumé never touches our servers. Because we don't have any.

Every other job tool pipes your résumé through their cloud, runs the AI on their machines, and parks your entire search history in their database. Weavenly does none of that. The app runs on your computer; AI calls go straight from your laptop to your own Anthropic, OpenAI or local Ollama account.

We genuinely can't see what you're applying to - there's no "us" in the loop. Don't take our word for it: open console.anthropic.com right after a tailor and watch the request appear under your own account, with no middleman.

Bring your own AI key (BYOK)

// what actually changes

Picture your next week.

No hype, no fake five-star quotes - just what the grind looks like once Weavenly is doing the repetitive parts.

The first night
Instead of rewriting your résumé for the tenth time, you paste a job link, glance at the fit score, and send a tailored version in under a minute.
By Friday
You've applied to 30 roles instead of 5 - because the Companion filled the forms while you reviewed, not retyped them word by word.
Your inbox
Recruiter replies and interview invites sort themselves into a pipeline. You stop scrolling email to remember who said what, and when.
Your data
Nothing ever sat on a vendor's server. Your résumé, answers and history are plain files in a folder only you can open.
Your wallet
You paid nothing for the app, and a couple of dollars - or exactly zero - for the AI. No $30/month subscription quietly renewing in the background.

// faq

The "wait, what's the catch?" section.

Is Weavenly really completely free?
Yes - completely free, forever, and open source. Download the app and use every feature: tailoring, tracking, Companion auto-fill, Gmail sync, calendar, pipeline. No trial, no time limit, no account, no paid tier.
What does "BYOK" mean and why should I care?
Bring Your Own Key. Weavenly uses AI to tailor your résumé and answer apply-form questions - but instead of bundling AI cost into a subscription, you connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or local Ollama account. Your AI usage goes through your account, you see exactly what it costs (typically $1-3/mo on Anthropic Haiku, $0 on local Ollama), and you can switch providers anytime.
Do I need an account to use Weavenly?
No - never. Download the .dmg / .exe / .AppImage, install, and start using it. No sign-up, no email gate, no telemetry.
Is the Companion extension allowed by LinkedIn / Indeed?
The Companion extension only fills the form in your own logged-in browser - YOU click Submit. It's assistive autofill, similar to how a password manager fills a login form. It never submits on your behalf and never runs from our servers. That said, automating any part of an apply flow can be against a site's terms, so treat it as a convenience you use at your own discretion.
Where is my data stored?
On your computer. Everything is JSON files in a folder you choose (default: Library/Application Support/Weavenly on Mac, %APPDATA% on Windows). Open it in Finder anytime, back it up, sync it with iCloud or Dropbox. We don't have servers that hold your data.
What platforms are supported?
macOS (Intel + Apple Silicon), Windows, and Linux (AppImage). The browser extension works on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc). Firefox and Safari support is on the roadmap.
Is this open source?
Yes. The desktop app, the Companion extension, and this site are open source on GitHub - read the code, audit exactly what it does with your data, file issues, or fork it. The privacy claims are verifiable directly from the source.
How do you make money if everything is free?
Right now we don't - Weavenly is a free, open-source tool. Everything runs on your own machine and your own AI key, so there's nothing for us to host and nothing to charge for. If we ever add an optional hosted convenience (for people who don't want to manage their own AI key), it'll be clearly optional - the local, BYOK app stays free forever. No ads, no data selling, ever.
